A healthy Christian has a concern that the gospel go to those who have never heard it, and a growing desire to be in community and to do life with others.

As a Christian, you’re in ministry. You don’t have to have arrived at spiritual perfection for God to use you. But you do need to be obedient to God’s Word and have a basic understanding of biblical truth.

The ultimate aim of God is for the church to give glory to God. That is displaying the beauty, greatness and perfection of God through everything we do. This text specifically applies displaying God’s glory in how we treat one another.

We shouldn’t flaunt our freedom in the face of those who think certain things are wrong. When it comes to non-essential issues where the Bible gives no command, we should never put a stumbling block in front of a brother.

Sin sometimes makes it hard for people to distinguish between biblical principle and personal preference. As a result, it’s easy to judge people with different opinions and preferences than us.

As a believer, our lives are no longer about me, me, me. In fact, we’re looking for ways to die to ourselves in order to be a light for Christ and a blessing to the body. All of Romans 12-13, Paul is telling us what it means to be a living sacrifice. Offering ourselves to God; dying to our way and our desires and putting on Christ. Paul continues that thought in Romans 13:8–14.

The Christian life is to be lived differently than the world. Our home is not this world. Our King was a suffering servant. Ours is a counter-cultural kingdom. One day Christ will come and end all wicked and decent governments alike. His government will be the only one to stand. His will be the only executive order. He will be the only King.

Marriage is never easy. Sometimes, you feel like you can’t live without each other, and sometimes you want to kill each other. Marriage is from God, and it is to be permanent. Your marriage is designed to be a picture of God’s unending, sacrificial and extravagant love for you.

God’s laws regarding sex aren’t designed to keep us from enjoying sex; they’re to help you have better sex than you can imagine.
